I started running seriously in May of 2008. I wanted to be strong and fit. I used to run regularly in high school which was many years ago. I have never been overweight, just out of shape. I started a year ago (December of 2007) taking the stairs at work. From there I got a treadmill and did some of the preprogrammed workouts. I worked up to a 5K. My son and I did our first 5K on Mothers' Day, 2008. We just did our first 10K on Thanksgiving Day, 2008. I would like to do a half marathon by spring or summer. I finished the 10K in 1:01:36.
Short-Term Running Goals:
I would love to do a half marathon by Spring or Summmer and a whole Marathon within a year of that.
Long-Term Running Goals:
I would like to be able to run a marathon and after that, I'll have to see when I get there. :)
Personal:
I'm married with two children. We are a very active family. We just want to stay fit and healthy.
